The goal of the Announcement Builder tool is to allow dealers to add and configure announcement pop-ups on their website. 

We are pleased to announce the rollout of our Announcement Builder to provide you with greater autonomy over your website updates. 

This tool will allow you to change your announcements without needing to submit a service request.

Meet the Announcement Builder Features

Through the Announcement Builder, you are able to complete the following:

  • Enable / Disable the existing announcement
  • Preview the announcement before it's enabled
  • Add a start and end date → the announcement will only show during the 2 selected dates
  • Add a Header Image
  • Add content in the form of an Image OR write content using a WYSIWYG Rich Content Editor

How to Navigate to the Announcement Builder

When you enable the Announcement Builder, you will find a new link in the Admin Panel > Content tab:

At the very top of the Announcement Builder form, you will see the following sections:

  • CTA buttons to preview and save changes
  • Toggle button to enable/disable the announcement
  • Start/end date picker for your announcement

Here is a step-by-step guide to setting up and using your Announcement Builder:

  1. Enable: To display on your site, you need to Enable the announcement – by default, your announcement will be set to Disabled. (Note: Your announcement can be enabled but still not show up on the site due to the Start and End Date.)
  2. Set a Start and End Date: Choose when an announcement is going to go up and when it's going to disappear. The built-in Date Picker eliminates the need to manually type out the dates. (Note: If neither the Start Date and End Date fields are filled out, the announcement will stay up if it is enabled and won't come down unless someone manually disables the announcement.)
  3. Add a Heading and Subheading: The Heading Field controls the primary title of the announcement. The Subheading field controls the secondary title. In these fields, you can change the text color, formatting and alignment.
  4. Add Content: Our WYSIWYG Rich Text Editor allows you to create visibly pleasing content very similar to creating a Microsoft Word Document. The Content field is where the bulk of the content is placed. This field allows you to use up to 2500 characters. (Note: Your announcement headers, content and graphics are only visible when the Text and Image Content features are enabled.)
    1. The Rich Text Editor allows you to do the following:
      1. Change the text color and formatting (bold, italicized)
      2. Change the alignment
      3. Add bullets and/or a numbered list
      4. Add a horizontal line
      5. Add a link
      6. Revert your changes 
  5. Add a Header Image: Select an image and crop it to match the aspect ratio of the announcement. The header image feature supports several image types, including:
    1. JPG
    2. JPEG
    3. GIF
    4. PNG
