Beautiful holiday light displays provide one of the most fun activities during the holiday season.  Who doesn't love going to see Christmas lights around the neighborhood when December rolls around? 

"River of Lights" - Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Albuquerque BioPark Botanical Garden hosts the River of Lights from November 25th through December 30th. This is New Mexico's largest walk-through holiday production. It features more than five hundred displays created by millions of twinkly lights. Starting December 5th, they have a Twinkle Light Parade that features dozens of sparkling floats and a true New Mexican tradition with the city's annual Luminaria Tour on December 24th. 

Disneyland - Anaheim, California

It's no secret that Disneyland is a top destination for families. But have you thought of going for the holidays? Disneyland Resort has festive décor, special holiday treats, a holiday guided tour, and even a Christmas parade! Shows take place in the evenings from November 10th through January 7th. 

"Lights on the Bay" - Annapolis, Maryland

Annapolis, Maryland may not seem like your traditional holiday vacation destination, but they have a drive-through holiday show at Sandy Point State Park that is worth the trip. With over sixty stationary and animated displays on the bay from November 18th through January 1st, it's a sight to see. 

"Trail of Lights" - Austin, Texas

The Trail of Lights has 1.25 miles of scenery composed of colored lights, a 155-foot conical tree made entirely of lights, and plenty of food and drink vendors! These Texas festivities are available December 9th through 23rd. 

Holiday Tree Lighting - Boston Common in Boston, Massachusetts

On November 30th, several trees around Boston are lit at the same time. Within these tree lightings hold Boston holiday traditions, hot chocolate, Boston Cream pies, and lots of exciting tree-lighting ceremonies. There are trees in Boston Common, the Massachusetts State House, Faneuil Marketplace, and Copley Square. There is a Freedom Holiday Tour offered Thursdays through Sundays that has lots of holiday fun- a costumed tour guide, yummy food, Christmas lights, and many more holiday traditions.
