PartSmart has been rebuilt from the ground up to operate on the latest and most secure technology while keeping the price for licensing PartSmart as low as possible.
Be advised that if you choose to renew the old PartSmart 8 Software License at the time of your annual renewal:
- License keys will no longer be generated after December 2024.
- When the PartSmart 8 software license key expires at the end of 2024, you will need to access PartSmart 10 to continue receiving parts data.

When will PartSmart 8 be permanently removed?
PartSmart 8 is scheduled to be permanently retired in December 2024.
What if I don’t want to upgrade to the latest version?
PartSmart 8 will be permanently retired in December 2024. Here are a few reasons to upgrade to the latest PartSmart today.
- Limited data updates: After December 31, 2024, PartSmart 8 will no longer receive catalog updates. All new model data or part changes will only be available in the latest version of PartSmart.
- Limited support: Beginning September 30, 2025, PartSmart 8 technical support will end.
- No further development: PartSmart 8 won’t receive any new feature development or maintenance. Upgrade to the latest version of PartSmart to enjoy all the new features and capabilities.
- End of life: As of December 31, 2024, PartSmart 8 will be permanently retired. License keys will not be renewed beyond this date.
Can I continue to use PartSmart 8 until the end-of-life date?
Yes, you can continue to use PartSmart 8 until December 31, 2024. For contract renewals and related questions, contact our Customer Success team at, (800) 288-5917.
What if I’ve paid for a whole year’s license to PartSmart 8?
No problem, you are covered. PartSmart 10 is being offered at the same price you are currently paying for PartSmart 8 – no additional charge.
What if my DMS is not available?
